When you enter our

from which to choose. A quality custom
framing job begins by using high quality materials. Legacy uses
only conservation grade mat boards that protect your artwork from
acidic attack while maintaining core color for years. You will
find a corner sample to complement any style and
décor. The frames are hand built to the exact size required for
perfect presentation. Six glazing options are available ranging from
premium clear to reflection control to anti-reflective and each is
available in a conservation quality option assuring the ultimate in
ultra-violet protection for your valuable artwork or photograph.
Lets look at a
typical framing session…

The process begins
at the design table where your artwork is laid out and questions are
asked about the room in which the artwork will be hung, wall color,
woodwork, general décor style and where windows are located relative
to the art. By discussing these points, our designers are able to
narrow the selection of mats, mouldings and glazing appropriate to
your requirements. A myriad of options are available such as
multi-layered mats, fillets, gold or silver engraved plates,
V-groove cuts etc. to enhance your framed piece.

After the
selections have been made, the information is entered into the
computer where prices are calculated. It is easy to provide
estimates for other options that were
discussed at the design table. After you make your final decision, a
work order is generated for the shop and the materials are ordered
for your project. Generally, your job will be ready to pick up in two
weeks or less.

When the materials
arrive in the shop, the frame is assembled by gluing the corners and
V-nailing the frame using a pneumatic nailer. Each frame is
thoroughly inspected and puttied if necessary to give you the best
looking corners possible. When the glue has set, the frame is ready
for fitting.

Mat design is laid out and hand cut by our certified professional
framer. You can be assured that each cut is given personal attention
to detail.
After the mats are
assembled, the glass is cut to size and cleaned. The stack is now
ready for fitting.

The work is placed
in the frame and backed up with foam core material. Everything is
held in place with framing points driven around the perimeter of the
frame. Finally, a kraft paper dust cover is secured over the back of
the frame and a hanging wire is attached along with bumpers to
protect your wall.

The finished piece
will hang proudly in your home for years, outlasting furniture and
carpeting. By having your artwork professionally framed, you can
expect the best presentation of your art or photograph and a quality job that will
last for decades. |
