Hi, pleased to meet you!  My name is Mark Lazarz and I specialize in portrait photography.  I am married to Marilyn and we have 2 children and 5 grandchildren so I know a little something about photographing various age groups.  I've learned over the years that you cannot rush a portrait session, that instead you must wait for the photograph to emerge out of a comfort level between the photographer and his subjects.  This is especially true of children and that is why I will not charge for a second sitting if the child is uncooperative during our initial session.

Oftentimes, a client has a vague idea of his or her portrait but they want "something nice".  I look at this as an opportunity to assist the client by suggesting clothing, location, time of day and how the session unfolds.  It's not a time slot, but rather a getting to know each other session.  When the session is over, we each will have gained new friends.  This is how beautiful portraits are made because a comfort level with each other is critical to success.
