Legacy Photo & Frame is proud to
carry a line of supplies designed to clean sensors on DSLR cameras.
Contaminants on sensors can show up on your pictures as dark
blotches, particularly at apertures over f/16. Sending your
camera in for cleaning is time consuming, expensive and sometimes
the results are less than perfect. If you possess a reasonable
amount of dexterity, you can safely clean your sensor using the
products now available at Legacy. Excellent tutorials and
product information on sensor cleaning can be found on
Copper Hill Images
website. We also recommend that you check
Photographic Solutions website
for more product information. After reading about these great
supplies and techniques, stop by our store to purchase your items
and save the shipping charges.

Eclipse cleaning fluid is
guaranteed safe for all CCD and CMOS sensors. When used with
SensorSwabs,
the manufacturer guarantees that your sensor will not be harmed.
Alternatively, if you are reasonably careful, the
Copper Hill method is another possibility for those of you who
want to save some money. Their tutorials are very well written
and if you read them carefully, you will be able to clean your
sensors for pennies instead of dollars. A 2 Oz. bottle is
available for $10.95.

PecPads combined with SensorSwipes
and Eclipse cleaning fluid form the basis for the
Copper Hill cleaning method. Although the supplier will
not guarantee that your sensor will not be harmed using this
product, the procedure is well documented and used by many people
including Legacy Photo & Frame. We routinely use the
Copper Hill method on our expensive cameras and have never had a
problem. A pack of 100 is $9.95.

The SensorSwipe comes in various

bristle brush that becomes electrostatically charged when brushed on
a piece of vellum or blown with a stream of air. The charged
brush is then lightly drawn over the sensor surface to pick up any
loose particles. This is perfect for cleaning your sensor when
the wet method is unnecessary. Available for $22.95.
